Where Maine Tradition Meets the Thames

Sebago and Bates College Share a Journey
Rooted in Tradition
This summer, Sebago was proud to support the Bates College Rowing Team during their trip to Henley on the Thames, where they competed while representing the tradition and spirit of collegiate rowing on one of the sport's most renowned waterways.

The partnership is especially meaningful because it brings together two organizations with deep roots in Maine. Founded in Lewiston, Bates College has long been recognized for its commitment to excellence, determination, and community. Sebago was founded in Maine and has spent nearly eight decades crafting footwear inspired by the state's lakes, coastline, and enduring connection to life on the water.

Those shared Maine roots made supporting the Bobcats a natural fit. Throughout their time in England, team members wore Sebago apparel and footwear off the water, representing the brand while exploring the town and preparing for competition. On the water, the team's racing shells proudly displayed the Sebago logo, symbolizing our support as they competed on one of rowing's most respected international courses.

We are honored to stand behind these exceptional student-athletes and celebrate the values we share—craftsmanship, resilience, tradition, and a passion for life on the water.
Congratulations to the entire Bates College Rowing Team on an unforgettable experience. We look forward to following their continued success and are proud to have been part of their journey.
Thank you for being part of the Sebago community.
